Sprint's WiMax 4G Roaming Service

It appears that the WiMAX Forum Global Operator Summit has bear fruit as Sprint has announced its 4G roaming service. The carrier is now offering roaming onto the WiMax 4G networks of Digicel in Jamaica and Global Mobile in Taiwan.

Verizon Wireless MiFi Vs Sprint Overdrive WiMAX 4G Router

The Sprint Overdrive WiMAX 4G Router was introduced about a year ago. But how has this WiMAX 4G device performed against its competitors? RIM BlackBerry Playbook Tablet with WiMAX 4G Video

The BlackBerry PlayBook is one of the most exciting WiMAX 4G devices that is headed for the Sprint network this year. It is expected to be available in the summer of 2011.

WiMAX 4G Operators Around the Globe to Discuss International Roaming

Major WiMAX 4G operators worldwide have gathered to discuss global roaming agreements. THis gathering is called the WiMAX Forum Global Operator Summit  and is being held in Taipei, Taiwan.

So what can WiMAX 4G subscribers expect from this summit?  Will it was held to " specifically address overcoming both business and consumer perceptions that data roaming is expensive, and to explore ways to help operators grow revenue."

The New Sprint MiFi 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot

Sprint has introduced the Novatel Wireless MiFi 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot to accompany the HTC EVO Shift 4G. Billed as "Big on Power, Small on Size" This WiMAX 4G device combines the portability of the MiFi design with one-touch connectivity for up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices.

The; MiFi 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot costs $49.99 (excluding taxes) after a $50 mail-in rebate activation on a new two-year service agreement (or eligible upgrade). It will be available nationwide on Feb. 27 at all Sprint retail channels.

WiMAX 4G-enabled PlayBook Coming this Summer

AT&T and Verizon Wireless introduced several devices for their respective 4G networks but SPrint also made a significant announcement on a new addition to for its WiMAX 4G network. The carrier has announce that RIM's new will be launched in the summer of 2011.

The BlackBerry PlayBook features a list of high-end specifications including a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, dual HD cameras (a 3-megapixel camera on the front and a 5-megapixel camera on the back), WiFi, Bluetooth and support for WebKit/HTML5 Internet technologies as well as Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Adobe Mobile AIR and more.

HTC EVO Shift 4G: Sprint's 3rd WiMAX 4G Smartphone

The HTC EVO Shft 4G was a frequent subject of leaks but it has been officially unveiled as the latest member of Sprint's WiMAX 4G smartphone line-up. The HTC Evo Shift 4G will be available on January 9 for $150 with a contract agreement.
