Sprint WiMAX 4G Tablet to Arrive in 2011

Here's an exciting update for Sprint WiMAX 4G subscribers. The carrier is already selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab for $399.99 with 2-year agreement and $599.99 without. However, this device is only capable of using Sprint's 3G network. Fortunately, a Sprint executive told Forbes that a 4G tablet will arrive in 2011.
Interestingly, Sprint's Paget Alves, president of business markets, hinted that the carrier intends to sell tablets running different operating systems. THis means that the first WiMAX 4G tablet may be even be the BlackBerry PlayBook since RIM has stated plans for a 4G version of the tablet.
2011 appears to be a good year for 4G. WiMAX vs LTE will be exciting. A battle of LTE and WiMAX 4G tablets should also bring more color to this exciting rivalry.
